The Poynting OMNI-298 puts two Wi-Fi antennas in one outdoor omni housing, for 2×2 MIMO from a single mast or wall fixing. Poynting designed it for fixed wireless access and outdoor Wi-Fi at factories, yards, building sites and farms. It covers 2.4 GHz and 4.9 to 7.2 GHz, so it suits Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points, and also 3.3 to 4.2 GHz (5G n77 and n78).
Both elements are vertically polarised and separated vertically in the housing, with 10 dBi peak gain on Wi-Fi and 7.8 dBi on 3.3 to 4.2 GHz. Rated IP65 from −40 to +80 °C.
It comes with twin 2 m HDF-195 leads terminated SMA (m), plus RP-SMA adaptors, so it plugs straight into a 2-port Wi-Fi router or access point such as the Teltonika RUTX50. For a longer run, add SMA extension cables and check the loss. One port only? See the OMNI-296; four ports, the OMNI-294.
