The Poynting PUCK-2 is a compact, surface-mount 2-in-1 5G MIMO antenna widely used across Ireland in industrial enclosures, roadside cabinets, digital signage housings, and mobile equipment. As the official Irish distributor for Poynting — listed on the Poynting global distributor network — TITAN IoT supplies the PUCK-2 from Galway with full Irish technical support. Covering 617–6000 MHz, the PUCK-2 delivers genuine 2×2 MIMO performance across Vodafone, Three and Eir networks without external masts or complex cable runs. Its low-profile 88mm puck design makes it the preferred choice for engineers and system integrators who need reliable cellular connectivity in tight, protected, or vehicle-mounted enclosures — and who need it to work first time with whatever router is already in the cabinet.
IRISH APPLICATIONS
Roadside Traffic Controllers & ITS Cabinets
One of the most common uses for the PUCK-2 in Ireland is inside roadside ITS and traffic management cabinets. The router sits inside a sealed metal enclosure — the puck mounts on the cabinet exterior or lid, giving it a clean MIMO signal path to the cellular network without compromising the cabinet’s IP rating or requiring a separate mast.
Digital Signage
Digital signage operators across Irish cities and retail parks use the PUCK-2 to replace underpowered stock antennas on routers inside signage enclosures. The compact footprint sits flush against the sign housing without affecting the visual appearance, and the IP69K rating handles the Irish weather without issue.
Mobile & Vehicle-Mounted Equipment
The PUCK-2 carries E-Mark certification, making it fully compliant for permanent vehicle installations. Irish engineers fit it to service vans, mobile plant equipment, and fleet vehicles where a low-profile, vibration-resistant antenna is needed for consistent cellular uptime.
Utilities & Remote Infrastructure
Water, electricity and gas infrastructure operators across Ireland use the PUCK-2 on remote monitoring RTUs and router enclosures. The -40°C to +80°C operating range and IP69K rating ensure reliable performance in exposed outdoor locations year-round.
Agriculture & Rural IoT
In Irish agriculture, the PUCK-2 is used on fixed and tractor-mounted cabinet installations — calf feeders, environmental monitors, water level sensors — anywhere a rugged weatherproof antenna is needed to maintain cellular connectivity on rural Irish networks.
COMPATIBLE ROUTERS
The Poynting PUCK-2 is a universal antenna compatible with virtually any industrial router using standard SMA connectors. It is a direct, no-compromise upgrade for the stock dipole antennas supplied with Teltonika routers — particularly for cabinet and enclosure installs where the stock antenna cannot be freely positioned.
Teltonika Networks — Recommended Upgrade
The PUCK-2 is fully compatible with all current Teltonika router models including:
– RUT241 — compact 4G router, widely used in Irish cabinets and signage
– RUT360 — dual SMA ports, direct PUCK-2 MIMO fit
– RUT950 — quad-band LTE, the PUCK-2 replaces both stock dipoles
– RUT955 — with I/O and GPS, commonly deployed in Irish utilities and transport
– RUTX11 — dual SIM LTE-A, the PUCK-2 provides the external antenna performance RUTX11 is capable of
– RUTX50 — 5G router, the PUCK-2 covers the full 617–6000 MHz 5G band
If you are running a Teltonika router in a cabinet, signage enclosure, or vehicle and experiencing weak signal or poor MIMO performance, the PUCK-2 is the recommended antenna upgrade. TITAN IoT can advise on the correct cable length and connector for your specific Teltonika model — call +353 91 757500.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Does the Poynting PUCK-2 work on Irish networks?
Yes. The PUCK-2 covers 617–6000 MHz, which includes every frequency band used by Vodafone, Three and Eir in Ireland across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. It is suitable for all cellular IoT, M2M and industrial router applications on Irish networks.
Will the PUCK-2 work with my Teltonika router?
Yes. The PUCK-2 is fully compatible with Teltonika routers including the RUT241, RUT360, RUT950, RUT955, RUTX11 and RUTX50. It connects via standard SMA Male connectors which match the antenna ports on all current Teltonika models. It is particularly effective as a cabinet or enclosure replacement for the stock dipole antennas supplied with Teltonika routers — in metal enclosures where the stock antenna cannot be freely positioned, the PUCK-2 mounts externally and provides a significant improvement in signal quality. Contact TITAN IoT in Galway for advice on the correct cable length or connector variant for your Teltonika install.
Can I use the PUCK-2 inside a metal cabinet?
Not directly — metal enclosures block RF signals. The correct approach is to mount the PUCK-2 on the outside of the cabinet, or on a non-metallic panel or lid section, and run the cable through a weatherproof gland to the router inside. TITAN IoT can advise on the correct cable length, gland specification and connector type for your enclosure at no charge — call +353 91 757500.
What mounting options does the PUCK-2 support?
The PUCK-2 supports two mounting methods: an adhesive pad for fast installation on flat surfaces, and screw through-hole mounting for permanent fixing to cabinet lids, enclosures and vehicle bodywork. The 88mm diameter fits most standard enclosure surfaces without modification.
Can I get technical support in Ireland?
Yes. TITAN IoT is the official Irish distributor for Poynting, based at Racecourse Business Park, Galway H91 A9NN. Full pre-sales and technical support is available for the PUCK-2 across Ireland. Whether you are speccing an antenna for a Robustel, Teltonika, Digi or Advantech router install, the team can advise on the correct variant and configuration.
