This policy explains what personal information TITAN IoT collects through titan.ie and by email, why we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and only describe what we actually do.
Who we are
TITAN IoT Ltd, Racecourse Business Park, Ballybrit, Galway, H91 A9NN, Ireland, is responsible for your information. For any question about your data, email iot@titan.ie or call +353 91 757500.
What we collect
- Details you send us through our website forms or by email: your name, email address, company, phone number and the details of your enquiry.
- Website usage: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as pages visited, device type and how you found us.
- Technical data: like every website, our hosting and security services process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block spam and attacks.
We do not take payments on the website, and we do not ask for sensitive information.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote, and to supply products and services you order. This is needed to take steps you ask for before or under a contract.
- To keep business and accounting records, where the law requires it.
- To keep the website secure and free of spam, which is in our legitimate interest.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not use your details for automated decisions. We may send occasional emails about our products and services to business contacts who have enquired with us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop as soon as you ask.
Who sees it
We do not sell your details or pass them to other companies for their own marketing. They are handled for us by the services we use to run the business: our website host, our email and ticketing systems, Cloudflare (form spam protection and site security), CookieYes (cookie consent) and Google Analytics (if you accept analytics cookies). We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Google processes some analytics data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our normal business records, including any period the law requires for accounts. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. titan.ie uses three kinds:
- Necessary: remember your cookie choice and protect the site from bots. These are always on.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, to count visits and see how the site is used. These are only set if you accept them.
- Video: some pages include YouTube videos, and YouTube sets its own cookies on those pages. These are only set if you accept them.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button on the website, which also lists each cookie in detail.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to us using it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email iot@titan.ie and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Keeping it safe
We use secure hosting and limit access to your information to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
