Remote Tank Monitoring for Every Tank You Refill
See the level in every customer tank, IBC and drum run from one screen, and plan deliveries around real levels instead of guesses. TITAN IoT supplies the sensors, the SIM connectivity and the monitoring platform, configured in Galway and supported from Ireland.
Start with a handful of tanks, prove it on your own delivery round, then roll it out across your customers. The platform is free for the first 3 months.

What Is Remote Tank Monitoring?
Remote tank monitoring puts a level sensor on each tank and sends its reading over the mobile network to an online platform. The platform converts the reading into litres, shows every tank on one screen and alerts the right people by email or SMS when a level crosses an alarm point, so suppliers refill on time and owners never run dry or overflow.
The sensor measures the distance to the liquid. The platform knows each tank’s shape and size, or its strapping table, and turns that distance into a volume and a percentage full. Alerts go out from the platform each time the sensor reports in.

Refill Customer Tanks? Plan Every Run on Real Levels.
The buyer for tank monitoring is usually the supplier who refills the tanks, not the site that owns them. With a sensor on each customer tank, the delivery team sees who is running low before the phone rings, fills the truck to match and stops sending it out for half-empty tanks.
Every customer, one screen
All customer tanks grouped by site, region or product, each with its level, volume and last reading.
Fewer emergency deliveries
Low-level alerts arrive in time to plan the visit into a normal run, not a special trip.
Fuller drops per visit
Deliver when tanks are low enough to take a worthwhile load, not on a fixed calendar.
Spot usage changes
Consumption history shows which customers are growing and which are buying elsewhere.
SMS and Email Alerts, for One Tank or a Fleet
The same alerts work for a farmer watching one water tank and a supplier watching hundreds of customer tanks.
Low and High Levels
Set your own alarm points for each tank as a percentage. Get a refill alert before it runs dry, and a high-level warning before a delivery fills it too far.
Sudden Drops
The TEK880 can alarm on a fast change in level, flagging a sudden fall that could mean a leak or theft, or an unexpected fill.
Who Gets Told
Choose who gets each alert, tank by tank: the office, the driver or the customer, by email or SMS.
Timing: an alert goes out when the sensor reports in. Tanks that need fast warning get a shorter reporting interval, which uses more battery, so we set the interval to suit each tank.
The Tanks and Liquids It Covers
Nothing on the tank is replaced. A sensor fits on top of the tank or into an existing opening, and the right type is chosen for the tank and what it holds.
Also: lubricants, cleaning and dairy hygiene chemicals, waste oil and septic tanks (see wastewater & septic tank monitoring) · Hazardous areas: ATEX sensors where the liquid calls for it · Networks: NB-IoT and Cat-M, with wired 4–20 mA through a gateway

Sensors Matched to the Tank and the Liquid
Radar leads for most tanks. Pressure takes over for tall tanks and caustic liquids, and wired probes suit sites with power.

Rochester Sensors
TEK880 Cellular Radar Sensor
Our lead sensor. Battery powered radar on NB-IoT or Cat-M, simple to fit on IBCs and plastic or steel tanks, and ATEX certified by the manufacturer. Reports from every two hours to once a month.

Rochester Sensors
TEK898 Pressure Sensor
Submersible pressure probe with a cellular logger, ATEX certified by the manufacturer. For tall tanks, underground tanks and caustic liquids where a top-mounted sensor is not the right fit.

Rochester Sensors
TEK811 Ultrasonic Sensor
Battery ultrasonic sensor on NB-IoT or Cat-M for water tanks and non-hazardous liquids, including farm water tanks feeding troughs.
Powered Sites
Wired 4–20 mA Probes
Where a site has power and existing 4–20 mA level probes, a gateway reads them and sends the levels to the same platform. No batteries to change, and readings as often as you need them.

TITAN IoT
TLM Platform
Dedicated tank level monitoring platform with volumes, alarms, reports and per-customer logins. Supplied and supported by TITAN.

IoT Factory
IoT Factory Platform
Open monitoring platform for sites that want tank levels alongside energy, environmental and other sensors.
Liquids: chemicals and solvents may need an ATEX or chemically compatible sensor, so we check each application before we quote. Full range: tank level monitoring sensors.

Remote Tank Monitoring Questions, Answered
What is remote tank monitoring?
Remote tank monitoring uses a battery or mains-powered sensor on each tank to read the level and send it over the mobile network to an online platform. The platform turns the reading into volume, shows every tank on one screen and sends email or SMS alerts when a tank runs low or fills too high, so nobody has to visit the site to check.
Who usually buys remote tank monitoring?
Most often the supplier who refills the tanks rather than the tank owner. Fuel, AdBlue, lubricant and chemical distributors use it to see every customer tank, plan delivery runs around real levels and stop emergency top-ups. Single-site owners such as farms and septic tank owners use the same sensors to avoid running dry or overflowing.
Can you monitor IBCs and drums?
Yes. A radar sensor such as the TEK880 sits on top of an IBC and reads the level through the lid opening, or through the plastic wall on suitable tanks without cutting into it. Each IBC or drum run appears on the platform as its own tank, so a supplier can see a whole customer site of totes and plan collection or refill visits.
Which sensor should we use?
The TEK880 radar is our first choice for most tanks: battery powered, NB-IoT or Cat-M, simple to fit and ATEX certified by the manufacturer. The TEK898 pressure sensor suits tall tanks and caustic liquids. For powered sites with existing 4–20 mA probes, a wired gateway sends them to the same platform. Chemicals may need a compatible sensor, so we check each application.
How long does the battery last?
It depends on how often the sensor reports. The TEK880 can report from every two hours to once a month, and more frequent reporting uses more battery. We agree a reporting schedule with you for each tank type, matching the reporting interval to how quickly the tank empties, so the sensor runs as long as possible between battery changes.
Which platform do we use, the TLM platform or IoT Factory?
Ask one question: are you only monitoring tanks, or tanks plus other things? The TLM platform is built for tanks alone, at any scale, from one farm tank to hundreds of IBCs. IoT Factory suits sites that also want energy, environmental or other sensors on the same screen. Both use the same sensor range, so the choice can change later.
Can the data go into our own system?
Yes. The TLM platform has a REST API and can export to ERP and ordering systems as XML, CSV or EDI, and IoT Factory has its own open API. The sensors can also be bought on their own and run on your own platform, with no lock-in and no ongoing service needed from us. Many customers start with the kit and add services later.
Can we pilot a few tanks before rolling out?
Yes, and we recommend it. Pick a handful of customer tanks, we configure the sensors in Galway and set them up on the platform with your alarm levels. The TLM platform or IoT Factory is free for the first 3 months. Once the readings and alerts work for your team, the same setup is rolled out across the fleet.
Prove It on a Few Tanks, Then Roll It Out
