What is a rugged computer?
A rugged computer is a tablet, handheld or vehicle-mount PC built to keep working where consumer devices fail: sealed against dust and water, tested for drops, shock and vibration, and able to run from vehicle power. Winmate builds them for warehouses, logistics fleets, agriculture, healthcare and field service. TITAN IoT supplies the range in Ireland, prepared in Galway with SIMs and connectivity.

Winmate questions, answered
Does TITAN IoT supply Winmate in Ireland?
Yes. TITAN IoT supplies and supports the Winmate range in Ireland from Galway, including vehicle-mount computers, rugged handhelds, tablets, laptops and healthcare displays. The models in our shop are a starting point. We can quote current Winmate models, prepare units before dispatch with SIMs fitted and connectivity set up, and support you after delivery.
What is the difference between the Winmate FM and FM-V series?
Both are Winmate vehicle-mount computers that run from vehicle power, with ignition control on most models. The FM series uses a separate vehicle dock, so the computer lifts out and moves between vehicles, and an internal battery keeps it running off the dock. The FM-V series is an all-in-one unit with integrated I/O on a VESA mount, with fewer parts where the computer stays in one vehicle.
Should I choose Windows or Android?
Winmate offers both across the vehicle-mount range. Windows models suit existing Windows warehouse software and terminal emulation. Android models suit modern warehouse and field apps, and are used across the handheld range, including the TC605 on Android 14. Tell us what your warehouse management system or field app runs on, and we will match the platform to it.
Can Winmate devices connect over 4G or 5G?
Yes, on many models. The TC605 handheld offers optional 4G or 5G with dual nano-SIM, and the FM and FM-V vehicle-mount ranges offer optional 4G. We can supply the IoT SIM so the device works out of the box. For private 5G, which TITAN has ready to deploy with spectrum pending, we confirm band support for each model before supply.
How rugged are Winmate devices?
Ratings vary by model, so check the datasheet for the unit you choose. As examples, the FM-V vehicle-mount computers are IP65 and tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration, and the TC605 handheld is rated IP65 and IP68 with a 1.8 metre drop rating. These ratings are Winmate’s own published specifications for each model.
Can I trial a Winmate device before a rollout?
Yes. The usual route is to pilot one device on one vehicle or with one team, prove it with your own software on your own site, then roll out across the fleet. Terms for pilot units are flexible, so ask us. We prepare and bench-test the pilot unit in Galway before it ships, so the trial tests the job rather than the setup.
Do you supply Winmate models that are not in your shop?
Yes. The shop shows a selection, and the wider Winmate range also covers panel PCs, industrial displays, and ATEX and marine-grade units. Send us a model number or describe the job, and we will quote it with lead times. Where a model has been replaced by a newer one, we will tell you and suggest the closest current fit.
