The Poynting RIPPLE is a marine antenna enclosure with room for the router inside. The router mounts on the base under a cross-polarised antenna array, so the RF cables are 0.35 m instead of long feeder runs down the mast, keeping cable loss to a minimum. It is built for superyachts, commercial vessels, ferries, harbour buildings and buoys where one or more 5G routers are bonded for capacity.
The array covers 617–7200 MHz at up to 9.5 dBi, taking in every Irish 4G and 5G band plus Wi-Fi up to 7.2 GHz. The RIPPLE-8 carries eight cross-polarised cellular antennas (two 4×4 MIMO sets), a 4×4 Wi-Fi set and two GPS/GLONASS elements. The RIPPLE-16 doubles the cellular array to sixteen antennas, enough for four 4×4 routers. The enclosure is IP65, UV and salt-water protected, with a heat-sink base, and takes routers up to 300 × 250 × 110 mm.
Connections inside are SMA male on short RG-316 fly leads. Part of Poynting’s WaveHunter range; for a single router on a smaller vessel, see the SWIRL.
Made to order: built by Poynting to order, price on application, and not returnable once ordered. We confirm lead time with the quote.
Choose the model
| Model | Cellular | Wi-Fi | GNSS | Order code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RIPPLE-8 | 8 cross-pol (2 × 4×4) | 4×4 | 2 × GPS/GLONASS | A-RIPL-0008-V1-01 |

Which model?
- RIPPLE-8: one or two 4×4 5G routers, such as the Teltonika RUTX50 or Robustel R5020, bonded for capacity.
- RIPPLE-16: up to four 4×4 routers for the highest bonded throughput on large vessels.
Tell us the router and the site and we’ll confirm the model and cables. Ask us to spec it, or read how to choose a 4G or 5G antenna.
