The Perseus Energy 242 is HW Group’s M-Bus Master in a metal case — it reads M-Bus energy meters over your LAN and brings them onto the SensDesk platform for remote monitoring, alerting and reporting.
M-Bus is the language building energy meters already speak: heat meters, water meters and electricity sub-meters in risers and plant rooms. The 242 polls up to 100 of them continuously, alongside four 1-Wire UNI sensor ports, two pulse-counting digital inputs, an RS-485 Modbus RTU port and a water-leak detection zone — one compact unit covering metering, environment and leak protection for a whole plant room. A relay output can switch ventilation or signalling based on any connected reading.
