The Poynting OMNI-496 is a marine-grade Wi-Fi omni antenna for picking up marina and harbour Wi-Fi from a boat, or for running Wi-Fi and private 5G across a coastal site. It sits on a 1-inch marine mount or a pole or wall bracket, in a radome built for salt spray.
It covers 2.4 GHz, 3.3–4.2 GHz and 4.9–7.2 GHz, which takes in Wi-Fi 4 to Wi-Fi 7 including 6 GHz, and the private 5G bands n48, n77 and n78. Gain is 7 dBi at 2.4 GHz and up to 10 dBi at 5 GHz. It is IP68, rated for −40 °C to +80 °C, fire resistant and salt spray protected.
The OMNI-496 is SISO with an N-type female bulkhead connector and no cable, so you choose the cable length for the run: an N-type to SMA cable, with an SMA to RP-SMA adapter for an RP-SMA Wi-Fi port. Use one per router Wi-Fi port. For 4×4 Wi-Fi, the OMNI-494 is the MIMO version. Pair it with the OMNI-493 for 5G cellular on the same mast, and the BRKT-037 flat mount bracket.
