The ATEL R3Di-S1 is a handheld personnel tracker designed for lone worker safety, field service operations, and security patrol scenarios where workers need both a working light and a way to call for help. The device combines GPS location tracking, an SOS emergency button, a 3-level adjustable flashlight, BLE connectivity, and the A.AGS cloud platform into a single rugged handset.

SOS emergency reporting

A long-press (5 seconds) on the main button triggers an SOS report to the A.AGS server, with the device’s current GPS location and identity transmitted to nominated email addresses and the portal. The R/G/B indicator confirms the SOS has been sent. Designed for unambiguous activation in stressful or hands-busy situations — the operator doesn’t need to navigate menus or unlock a screen to call for help.

Three-level flashlight

The integrated flashlight cycles through Low / Medium / High / Off brightness via single button presses, giving workers a usable light source for inspection, navigation, or emergency signalling. The flashlight functions independently of the tracking subsystem — using it doesn’t interrupt position reporting.

Movement and geo-fence tracking

The R3Di-S1 reports position once an hour when stationary and every 5 minutes when moving (detected via accelerometer). Trip-start and trip-stop events are automatically generated based on motion detection, with the device exiting motion mode after three minutes of inactivity.

Up to multiple geo-fences can be defined per device — drawn as circles, rectangles, or custom polygons via the A.AGS portal or mobile app. Enter and exit events trigger email alerts to nominated recipients.

A.AGS portal and mobile app

The R3Di-S1 integrates with the A.AGS (ATEL Application Gateway Server) cloud platform at aags.a-tracs.com. The web portal provides device status, location history, trip view (route playback), time-based filtering, geo-fence management, and alert configuration. A companion iOS and Android app mirrors the portal functions for field supervisors managing personnel from a phone.

Charging and battery indication

The R3Di-S1 charges via USB Type-C (5V / 2A preferred). The R/G/B status indicator shows charging progress (green flashing) and full-charge state (green steady). On power-on and on demand (left + right button held for 2 seconds), the device indicates battery level via the LED:

• Green — battery healthy (above 3.95V)
• Blue — battery moderate (3.65V–3.95V)
• Red — battery low (below 3.6V)

Configurable to your project

The R3Di-S1 supports configurable reporting frequency, alert thresholds, geo-fence definitions, and user notification routing via the A.AGS portal. The R3Di-S1 reports through the A·TRACS platform via the A.AGS Tracker portal, with telemetry, trips, and alerts available via web, mobile app, and REST API. The platform supports multi-user role-based access for supervisors, dispatchers, and end users.
