Configurable battery-powered asset tracker with WiFi-scan location fallback.
The ATEL AS33 is a battery-powered LTE Cat-M1 asset tracker built for projects that need deployment flexibility. With eight SKU variants covering rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, optional EGPRS (2G) fallback, and optional WiFi MAC scanning for urban and indoor location, the AS33 adapts to the project rather than forcing the project to adapt to it.
Eight SKU variants — match the hardware to the project
The AS33 is available in eight configurations, combining battery type, WiFi scanning, and 2G fallback:
- AS33-N / AS33-N5 — Non-rechargeable, optional EGPRS
- AS33-NW / AS33-NW5 — Non-rechargeable, WiFi scanner, optional EGPRS
- AS33-R / AS33-R5 — Rechargeable, optional EGPRS
- AS33-RW / AS33-RW5 — Rechargeable, WiFi scanner, optional EGPRS
Battery life reaches 3+ years on a single non-rechargeable cell at one report per day, scaling with reporting frequency and cellular signal strength.
WiFi scanning for urban and indoor coverage
In dense urban areas and inside containers, warehouses, or vehicles, GNSS signal can be weak or unavailable. The AS33’s optional WiFi scanner captures nearby access point MAC addresses and forwards them to your server for location resolution via WiFi positioning databases — closing visibility gaps where pure GNSS struggles.
Built for harsh deployments
IP67-rated housing, an operating temperature range from -30°C to +75°C, BLE 5.1, and a 3-axis accelerometer enable motion-triggered reporting, tamper detection, and variable reporting frequency between stationary and moving states. Up to 16 geo-fences (polygon and circle) trigger configurable alerts.
Configurable to your project
Programmable wake-up on motion, scheduled reporting, geo-fence events, over-the-air firmware updates, and an extended AT command set let the AS33 be tuned in the field. Optional cable harnesses add ignition detection for vehicle-mounted deployments. For project-specific requirements — custom server endpoints, bespoke reporting protocols, or non-standard event triggers — TITAN works directly with ATEL to spec custom firmware for your deployment.
Managed by A·TRACS or integrated direct
A·TRACS is ATEL’s enterprise cloud platform, offering device management, firmware-over-the-air (FOTA), geo-fence administration, and event notifications via the A.RMS portal. Devices can report to A·TRACS, to your own platform via REST API, or to both — giving you a managed-cloud starting point with a clear path to direct integration as your deployment scales.
