Emergency Vehicle Connectivity for Ambulance, Fire and Garda Fleets
Irish ambulance builders fit our Poynting and Panorama roof antennas and Robustel routers. TITAN supplies emergency vehicle connectivity as one kit: a 4G/5G router with SIMs on two networks, a multi-element roof antenna that shares the roof with the TETRA radio, and the rugged computer in the cab, staged and tested in Galway.
Prove it on one vehicle, then roll it out across the fleet.

What Is Emergency Vehicle Connectivity?
Emergency vehicle connectivity is the data link that keeps an ambulance, fire appliance or patrol car connected on the move. It joins a 4G or 5G router, SIMs on more than one network and a multi-element roof antenna, carrying crew data, patient records, mapping, tracking and Wi-Fi. It works alongside the TETRA radio, which still carries voice.
Ireland’s emergency services run voice on MNDRS, contracted to at least 2029, while data moves to 4G and 5G. That puts both systems on one roof, so the antennas are planned together from the start.
One Antenna on the Roof, Not Five
The Poynting MIMO-4 and the Panorama Mako are the roof antennas used on ambulances. Each puts 4×4 MIMO 4G/5G, Wi-Fi and GPS into one low housing.

Sharing the Roof With TETRA
Where the TETRA radio antenna and the data antennas share a roof, a combination antenna saves holes and keeps the layout clean. Panorama is strongest here: its own case studies include more than 600 Scottish A&E ambulances, and Norwegian ambulances fitted with Sharkee antennas and LTE whips.

Panorama · Combination antenna
Sharkee GPSD-6-60
2×2 MIMO 4G/5G plus GPS/GNSS in a sharkfin, with a stud for a UHF or TETRA whip on the same mount. Optional Wi-Fi, up to 8 functions. Single-hole mount, IP69K.

For 4G-only vehicles with a VHF or UHF whip, see the Sharkee GPSD-7-27. More on the Panorama range.
5G Routers With Two SIMs
The router sits in the vehicle and connects everything on board. Both options are dual-SIM 5G, so the vehicle switches network when coverage drops.

Robustel · Router
R5030 5G Router
The router Irish ambulance builders fit. Dual-SIM 5G with Wi-Fi 6, GNSS and 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for cameras, tablets and the cab computer. Comes with free RCMS cloud monitoring, so you see each vehicle’s link from one dashboard.

You Build the Vehicle. We Do the Connectivity.
Buy the parts and fit them to your own design, with no lock-in. Or take the staged kit, configured and tested in Galway and labelled per vehicle. Your fitter mounts the antenna and connects power, and the vehicle comes up online.
Poynting or Panorama on the roof, Robustel or Teltonika in the vehicle: we match the kit to the build. Pilot one vehicle first, then roll out across the fleet, with volume pricing and support from Galway.
Add the Rugged Computer Too
The router connects the vehicle; crews still need a screen. TITAN supplies and supports Winmate rugged computers in Ireland, prepared alongside the router so both arrive working together.

Winmate · Vehicle-mount

Emergency Vehicle Connectivity Questions, Answered
What is emergency vehicle connectivity?
It is the data link that keeps an ambulance, fire appliance or patrol car connected on the move: a 4G or 5G router in the vehicle, a multi-element roof antenna, and SIMs on more than one network. It carries crew data, patient records, mapping, tracking and in-vehicle Wi-Fi, alongside the TETRA radio used for voice.
Which roof antenna suits an ambulance?
The Poynting MIMO-4 and the Panorama Mako are the roof antennas used on ambulances. Both are 4×4 MIMO 4G/5G with Wi-Fi and GPS options in one low housing, so the vehicle carries one antenna instead of several. Where a vehicle runs two modems, the Panorama Megalodon carries two full 4×4 sets in one unit.
Can the 4G/5G antenna share the roof with the TETRA radio?
Yes. The Panorama Sharkee GPSD-6-60 combines 2×2 MIMO 4G/5G and GPS with a stud for a UHF or TETRA whip on the same mount, and the GPSK-TET pairs a TETRA whip with GPS through a single hole. Fewer holes in the roof, and the radio and data antennas are planned together.
Why use a dual-SIM router in an emergency vehicle?
Coverage differs between networks across Ireland, especially on rural roads. A dual-SIM router such as the Robustel R5030 or Teltonika RUTX50 holds SIMs on two networks and switches to the second when the first drops, so the vehicle keeps its data link across more of the country. We fit and test both SIMs before dispatch.
Do emergency vehicles need 5G?
Not for every job, but a 5G router with 4G fallback is the sensible choice for a vehicle expected to serve for many years. It carries more traffic at once, such as video, patient data and crew Wi-Fi, and stays useful as networks move on. The 4×4 roof antennas on this page already cover the 4G and 5G bands.
Can you supply the computer in the cab as well?
Yes. TITAN supplies and supports Winmate rugged computers in Ireland, including the FM12E vehicle-mount computer and the M101Q8-ME medical tablet with its antimicrobial housing. They can be prepared alongside the router and antennas, so the cab computer, the connection and the SIMs arrive tested together for one vehicle or a fleet.
Does TITAN fit the equipment into the vehicles?
No. TITAN supplies the connectivity as staged kits: routers configured and tested in Galway with SIMs fitted, antennas with the right cables and connectors, and everything labelled per vehicle. The vehicle builder or your own fitter mounts the antennas and connects power, and we support the kit after delivery, from one vehicle to a full fleet.
