SKU: RUT241 Category: Brand:

The Teltonika RUT241 is a compact industrial 4G router for the many jobs that need one device online reliably and nothing more elaborate than that. It fits where space is tight — an EV charger pedestal, a signage cabinet, a kiosk, a machine enclosure — and it is the successor to the RUT240, the most widely deployed router Teltonika ever built.

Small does not mean domestic. It has an aluminium housing rated from −40 °C to +75 °C, digital input and output for automation, and full RMS support, so a fleet of them can be monitored and updated remotely without visiting a single site.

Where it’s used in Ireland

  • EV charge points — the connectivity link between the charger and the back-office platform, in a housing that survives outdoors
  • Digital signage and kiosks — one screen or terminal online, remotely manageable, in a cabinet with no room to spare
  • Vending, ATMs and payment terminals — compact cellular connectivity for unattended equipment
  • Machine and plant cabinets — remote access to a single PLC or controller, with the digital input available for a door or alarm contact
  • Temporary and event connectivity — quick to deploy, quick to reconfigure, Wi-Fi on board

Where it stops, and what to use instead

The RUT241 has a single SIM slot and two Ethernet ports. If you need a second SIM for network resilience or more wired devices, the RUT951 is the right step up. If you need to reach serial equipment or track a vehicle, the RUT956 adds RS232, RS485 and GNSS. We would rather tell you that now than have you find out after installation.

eSIM and remote management

An eSIM variant is available, holding up to seven operator profiles alongside the physical SIM and switchable from the web interface or remotely through RMS — useful for equipment that ships to different countries or where the operator choice isn’t settled at install time. Whichever version you use, RutOS provides VPN support, SMS control and alerting, and full compatibility with Teltonika RMS for remote monitoring, configuration and firmware updates.

Recommended antennas

The RUT241 uses 2 × SMA for cellular and 1 × RP-SMA for Wi-Fi. In a metal cabinet, the supplied swivel antennas will struggle — an external antenna is usually the difference between a reliable site and an intermittent one:

  • Poynting PUCK-2 — the standard pairing for cabinets, chargers and enclosures
  • Poynting XPOL-1 — where the site is rural or the signal is marginal

Panorama’s bracket-mount range also suits charger and metering enclosures — see the antennas page or ask us to spec it with the router.

Supplied and configured from Galway

TITAN IoT stages every RUT241 before dispatch: SIM fitted and tested on the Irish network, configuration applied, RMS enrolment done, and the antenna matched to the enclosure it’s going into — so the unit connects the day it’s installed. For rollouts we pre-configure the whole batch to one template.

The RUT241 sits in our industrial cellular routers range alongside the rest of the Teltonika line-up. Pricing is quoted per project — use REQUEST A QUOTE for Irish pricing, volume rates and the antenna recommendation for your installation.
