The Milesight UG63 is a compact, low-cost indoor LoRaWAN gateway for small sites that each need their own gateway, and for filling blind spots alongside UG65 or UG67 gateways. Typical uses are meter rooms, small offices, shops, schools and water or utility sites with a handful of sensors.
It uses the Semtech SX1302 chip with 8 channels and supports over 2,000 end nodes. Backhaul is Ethernet, with an optional 4G LTE Cat 1 version for wire-free deployment, and external LoRa and cellular antennas improve range. Configuration is over Wi-Fi from a phone or laptop; the gateway forwards to network servers such as The Things Stack or ChirpStack, or to Milesight’s DeviceHub. It is powered over USB-C.
A typical setup: UG63 with 4G and Adeunis PULSE sensors on water meters. Pair with an IoT SIM for the cellular version.
