The AM103 uses 2 × 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ replaceable batteries. Milesight lists AM103 battery life at around 4.5 years at SF7 on EU868/US915, around 3 years at SF10 on EU868, and around 2.3 years at SF10 on US915, based on a 10-minute interval at 25°C under laboratory conditions.

This makes the sensor suitable for long-term indoor monitoring with reduced maintenance.
