The Kerlink Wirnet iBTS Compact is a carrier-grade outdoor LoRaWAN base station for operator-scale networks: councils, utilities and network operators covering a town or region with thousands of sensors. Most single sites don’t need it; an iStation or iStation M2 will do. Where capacity, range and remote management matter most, the iBTS is the step up.
It carries a 16-channel LoRa modem with -141 dBm sensitivity and up to 30 dBm conducted power, a GPS-synchronised, geolocation-ready design (RSSI and TDOA), out-of-band radio scanning and supercapacitors for a clean shutdown on power loss. It runs from PoE (30 W) or 11–56 VDC, so it suits solar installations too.
