Vendor-locked clouds, or one open platform?
The single question that decides it: does the platform only talk to one manufacturer’s hardware? Robustel’s RCMS and Milesight’s IoT Cloud are both capable and either free or low-cost to start — but each is locked to its own vendor’s devices. IoT Factory takes any sensor, on any network, and turns it into dashboards, alerts and reports on one screen.

Milesight IoT Cloud
Milesight’s own cloud, tightly integrated with its LoRaWAN sensors and controllers. A free starter tier lets you stand up dashboards, maps and alerts quickly — ideal if your estate is entirely Milesight. It will not, however, take data from other manufacturers’ hardware.

Running on LoRaWAN? The network server sits underneath
A LoRaWAN deployment needs a network server — the piece that manages your gateways and devices, handles security and joins, and forwards the data up to a platform. It isn’t a competing dashboard; it’s the layer beneath one. TITAN works with the major network servers, and IoT Factory integrates with them, so your data lands in dashboards and alerts whichever server runs the network.
ChirpStack
ChirpStack is the most widely used open-source LoRaWAN network server — MIT-licensed and free for commercial use. It’s the foundation for private LoRaWAN networks where you own the infrastructure, keep control of your data and pay no recurring network fees. IoT Factory works with ChirpStack, so a ChirpStack network feeds straight into IoT Factory dashboards, alerts and reports.
Any network server
Whether you use a public network like The Things Stack or run your own, IoT Factory’s network-server integrations mean the platform doesn’t mind which one you choose. On sites with no public coverage, TITAN can deploy a private LoRaWAN network — a Robustel gateway running ChirpStack — for full coverage and data ownership, with IoT Factory on top for the dashboards.
No coverage on site?
We can stand up a private LoRaWAN network for you — gateway, network server and platform — so a lack of public coverage is never the blocker. Email iot@titan.ie to talk it through.
