Monitoring Platforms

One supplier, the right platform for whatever you’re monitoring

Whether you’re managing a fleet of Robustel routers, running Milesight sensors, or monitoring tanks, energy, air quality and assets across mixed sites, TITAN matches you to the right platform — and deploys, configures and supports it from Galway. Some platforms come free with the hardware but only talk to one vendor’s devices. IoT Factory is the one platform open to any sensor, on any network.

The difference

Vendor-locked clouds, or one open platform?

The single question that decides it: does the platform only talk to one manufacturer’s hardware? Robustel’s RCMS and Milesight’s IoT Cloud are both capable and either free or low-cost to start — but each is locked to its own vendor’s devices. IoT Factory takes any sensor, on any network, and turns it into dashboards, alerts and reports on one screen.

The distinction that matters

RCMS and Milesight IoT Cloud are excellent if everything you run is Robustel or everything is Milesight. The moment your estate is mixed — or you want tanks, energy, air quality and trackers from different makers on one screen — you need a platform that isn’t tied to a single vendor. That’s IoT Factory.

Managed monitoring

It starts with tanks — it doesn’t stop there

Tank level monitoring is the most common starting point, but the IoT Factory platform covers the full range of what teams across Ireland need to keep an eye on.

Tank level

Fuel, oil and water tanks. Real-time level and volume, with low / high alerts before you run dry or overfill.

Energy & water

Electricity, gas, water and fuel sub-metering. Track consumption, spot leaks, report on cost and carbon.

Temperature & humidity

Cold chain, storage, server rooms and facilities. Threshold alerts when conditions drift out of range.

Air quality

CO&sub2;, temperature, humidity and particulates for offices, schools and healthcare settings.

Asset tracking

Locate equipment, tools and vehicles with GPS trackers. Geofencing alerts and hours-of-use dashboards.

Room & occupancy

Desk, room and building occupancy to optimise space and improve the working environment.

The network layer

Running on LoRaWAN? The network server sits underneath

A LoRaWAN deployment needs a network server — the piece that manages your gateways and devices, handles security and joins, and forwards the data up to a platform. It isn’t a competing dashboard; it’s the layer beneath one. TITAN works with the major network servers, and IoT Factory integrates with them, so your data lands in dashboards and alerts whichever server runs the network.

Open source

ChirpStack

The leading open-source LoRaWAN network server

ChirpStack is the most widely used open-source LoRaWAN network server — MIT-licensed and free for commercial use. It’s the foundation for private LoRaWAN networks where you own the infrastructure, keep control of your data and pay no recurring network fees. IoT Factory works with ChirpStack, so a ChirpStack network feeds straight into IoT Factory dashboards, alerts and reports.

Public & private

Any network server

The Things Stack, ChirpStack and more

Whether you use a public network like The Things Stack or run your own, IoT Factory’s network-server integrations mean the platform doesn’t mind which one you choose. On sites with no public coverage, TITAN can deploy a private LoRaWAN network — a Robustel gateway running ChirpStack — for full coverage and data ownership, with IoT Factory on top for the dashboards.

No coverage on site?

We can stand up a private LoRaWAN network for you — gateway, network server and platform — so a lack of public coverage is never the blocker. Email iot@titan.ie to talk it through.

Always expanding

Working with another platform?

Our platform line-up keeps growing. Beyond the options on this page, TITAN works with a widening range of vendor and open platforms — and because IoT Factory is open, with documented APIs and broad network-server support, data can move between systems rather than being trapped in one. Already running a platform, or weighing one up? Tell us what you have and we’ll advise.

Frequently asked

Monitoring platforms — common questions

What is an IoT monitoring platform?
An IoT monitoring platform is the software that takes data from your sensors and devices, stores it, and turns it into something usable — live dashboards, threshold alerts, scheduled reports and often a mobile app. Some platforms are tied to one manufacturer’s hardware; an open platform works with sensors from any vendor on any network. TITAN supplies and supports monitoring platforms for businesses across Ireland from Galway, matching the platform to what you need to measure and the equipment you already run.
What’s the difference between RCMS, Milesight IoT Cloud and IoT Factory?
RCMS and Milesight IoT Cloud are both vendor clouds: RCMS manages Robustel routers and gateways (free with the hardware), and Milesight IoT Cloud integrates Milesight LoRaWAN sensors and controllers (with a free starter tier). Both are good if your estate is entirely one of those brands — but neither takes data from other manufacturers. IoT Factory is the open, device-agnostic platform: any sensor, any vendor, any network, on one screen, with dashboards, alerts, reports, a mobile app and an open API. It’s the platform behind TITAN’s managed monitoring service.
Do I have to use the dashboard, or can I pull the data into my own system?
Both. IoT Factory gives you ready-built dashboards and a mobile app, but it also exposes a documented REST API so you can feed the data into your own dashboard, BMS, ERP or business-intelligence tools. You decide where the data goes.
Can each of my customers have their own login and dashboard?
Yes. IoT Factory is multi-tenant and white-label, so each customer can have their own branded login seeing only their own sites and sensors. Users can be activated or deactivated without being deleted, which keeps billing and audit trails clean.
Will it work with sensors I’ve already deployed?
In most cases, yes. IoT Factory has 700+ pre-integrated sensor types, including the brands TITAN distributes. If a device isn’t already integrated, a custom payload decoder can be written and added to the platform. We’ll confirm compatibility when we scope your deployment.
Can you run a LoRaWAN network for me, or use ChirpStack?
Yes. LoRaWAN deployments need a network server to manage gateways and devices. TITAN works with the major network servers and IoT Factory integrates with them — including ChirpStack, the leading open-source option. Where there’s no public coverage, we can deploy a private LoRaWAN network (a Robustel gateway running ChirpStack), giving you full coverage and data ownership, with IoT Factory on top for dashboards, alerts and reports.
Can I get technical support in Ireland?
Yes. TITAN is based in Galway with 25 years in M2M and IoT. We deploy, configure and support these platforms locally — not a ticket queue in another country. Call +353 91 757500 or email iot@titan.ie.
