Depends on signal strength. In urban areas indoor often suffices. In rural Ireland or on industrial sites with metal walls, an outdoor antenna delivers 10-30 dB better signal. TITAN can run a free site survey.

MIMO, omnidirectional or directional - which type do I pick?

Accepted Answer

MIMO for high-throughput applications like 5G routers and FWA. Omnidirectional for mixed-direction or mobile sites. Directional panel for fixed rural sites with known tower direction and maximum gain requirement.

Will these antennas work with my router?

Accepted Answer

Yes - Poynting and Panorama antennas use SMA, N-type or QMA connectors compatible with all industrial routers from Robustel, Digi, Teltonika and Siretta. TITAN ships with the right connector, cable length and adapter for your router.

What frequencies do I need for Irish networks?

Irish carriers use 617-2700 MHz for 4G and 3400-3800 MHz for 5G. NB-IoT and Cat-M1 use 700-900 MHz. All TITAN antennas cover the full range.

How much signal improvement should I expect from an external antenna?

Typically 10-30 dB on signal strength - enough to turn unusable signal into reliable connection. Mounting height and line-of-sight matter more than the antenna spec.

Yes - antenna design and validation is becoming a TITAN service in 2026. For OEM and embedded applications where off-the-shelf won't work, we can specify, prototype and test custom flex, PCB or XPOL antennas with anechoic chamber validation.
